[RETROSPECTIVE] We Love Watches 2026: A Look Back at JULIEN FAURE’s First-Ever Appearance
On October 9 and 10, JULIEN FAURE made its debut at We Love Watches, held at the Maison de la Mutualité in Paris. At the fourth edition of the show, we met watch enthusiasts to introduce them to our collection of woven watch straps.
Two days spent letting visitors try our straps and answering a question that came up at our stand: how are they different from NATO straps ?

Our Collection : Five Designs, Best Experienced on the Wrist
At our stand, visitors had the chance to try the entire collection: classic, masculine-inspired designs available in 20 mm and 22 mm widths. Two feature stripe patterns: JF-0004, with two central stripes, and JF-0005, with a single stripe. The other three - JF-0001, JF-0002 and JF-0003 - stand out for the depth and texture of their jacquard weaves.
A watch strap can change the character of a watch. The best way to appreciate the difference is to try one on.

NATO vs. Jacquard-Woven : What Sets Them Apart
The NATO strap takes its name from NATO’s codification system for military supplies. Originally designed for the British military, it was developed to meet a straightforward set of requirements: durability, low cost and ease of replacement.
Our straps are not cut from nylon webbing; they are woven on shuttle looms. This is a craft the Maison has been perfecting since 1864, and it makes a difference in three key ways.
Comfort. Jacquard weaving allows us to use much finer polyester yarns, delivering comfort, flexibility and breathability while ensuring outstanding durability over time.
Pattern. Jacquard weaving creates the design thread by thread, directly within the structure of the strap. The pattern is neither printed nor applied on top: it brings depth and texture to the weave.
Construction. Each strap is woven as a single piece, including the integrated spring bar channels. This ingenious system, developed by our teams, ensures that the watch case is held securely in place.
This expertise is well known to watchmakers: we have been weaving textile watch straps for TUDOR for over fifteen years, and have more recently collaborated with BREMONT and MARCH LA.B.

Julien Faure Joins the Panel Discussion : “Is Your Story Your Greatest Asset ?”
On Saturday, our President, Julien Faure, took part in the panel discussion “Is Your Story Your Greatest Asset ?”
It was a topic that resonated deeply with our own journey: that of a Maison whose identity has been shaped over time by its textile expertise and lasting relationships with its partners.

A New Design: The JF-0003 Basalte 20 mm Black Watch Strap
Our participation in We Love Watches also provided the opportunity to unveil a new creation: the black 20 mm JF-0003 Basalte watch strap.
With its all-black aesthetic, this new design expands our collection with a refined, understated take on the woven watch strap.
Unveiled for the first time at the show, it is now available on our website.
